New Addition to the Missions Team

We are so excited to announce that Jonathan Dimanche has joined the mission’s team as the Local Missions Pastor.

Hi, I’m Jonathan Dimanche, I’m excited about what the Lord is doing at Liberty and can’t wait to meet you all! I figure since we’re just getting introduced I’ll tell you a little bit about my story

I was born and raised in Long Island, New York. Being the middle child with four sisters, I spent a lot of my childhood playing backyard games, hanging out with friends and traveling with my father. I was raised in church but my rough and tough environment made it difficult for me to focus on my relationship with God. During the middle of my ninth grade year, my family moved to the eastern part of Long Island to plant a church. God changed my surroundings and I had no excuses not to follow Him. As I began to take my relationship with Christ more seriously, a few friends and I began a Bible study in my public high school and we began to do ministry all around Long Island.

I began attending Liberty University in the Fall of 2008. As I developed in my studies, my family was directly impacted by the earthquake that hit Haiti in 2010. I anticipated going to Haiti to help my family but it was not God’s timing yet. Three months later I was able to go on a mission trip to Haiti and also see my family. Since that time, God has allowed me to spend 185 days doing mission work in Haiti! I spent time interning, working with mission’s teams, translating and heading up service projects. I knew then that God was calling me to a life of full time ministry -whatever that looked like! My time spent doing missionary work also gave me a drive to help others get connected to service. Even if it was not going to Haiti or even doing missions work.

I have been a part of Liberty for two years now, and from the moment I stepped foot, I knew that I belonged here. I was so honored to serve as the Hospitality Pastor and to have been a part of the Hospitality Ministry. Earlier this year Pastor Grant and Pastor Ken asked me if I would consider joining the Missions Ministry. They told me to pray about it but this has been an answered prayer all along!

I pray that through this brief introduction you see my heart and I also pray that through your service God reignites a passion for his people in your hearts!

See you soon!

Food Pantry – Hampton Campus

An Opportunity to Meet a Community Need

Our Food Pantry is running very low.

On the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month the community comes in for help with food.  Our goal is to build relationships so that we can share Jesus with them.  Our volunteers meet with those who come and at the end they pray with each person then give them a bag of food.

At this moment the shelves of the pantry are fairly empty. If you  would like to help restock the food pantry at the Hampton campus  we will accept donations at any campus and they will be delivered to the Hampton campus.  At the Hampton campus there is a basket by the elevator in the A – wing.

Here is a list of what we could use:

Canned Meat

Spaghetti Sauce

Mac & Cheese

Brownie Mix

Cake Mix

Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix

Peanut Butter & Jelly

Canned Fruit

Thank you so much!!!!
